I thought Soft Cell did the original. But apparently it was Gloria Jones in 1964.

Well gor blimey, guvnahh! Next you'll be telling us that Phil Collins didn't do the original of "You Can't Hurry Love"....
(Only joking - I only found out myself a few months ago that it wasn't Soft Cell originally; with the rubberized kinky S&M lyrics, you'd have put your mortgage on it being Marc Almond...)
Wow. I didn't know that. Though I love the Soft Cell version, I actually quite like this one too. Certainly much less of a 'rubberized kinky S&M' spin to it, as Tafkass puts it.
What do you make of the Marilyn Manson and *shudder* Rihanna covers?
